Batubulan Village
Batubulan village is one of tourist destination in Bali. The artistic countryside is situated in west part of Gianyar regency, around 8 km from Denpasar.The village is popular with stone carving and Barong dance performance.
Batubulan had been known since a long time by the tourist, because of its handicraft. The village produces statues, made of sand stone. The handicraft can be seen along the road of Batubulan. Identified as an art village, Batubulan has been famous in Indonesian and all over the world. The stone carvings are unique and artistic. People created various figures, from the congcrete to the abstract objects.
Beside handicraft, visitors may also enjoy Barong dance performances. They are daily performed at five stages in this countryside. Visitors may enjoy them in Puseh Temple Stage, Tegal Tamu Stage, Denjalan Stage, Sahadewa Stage and Sila Budaya Stage at 09:00 to 10:30 am. daily, Barong Dance is held while the Kecak Dance or Bali Night performances are executed at 18:00 to 19:00 p.m.
Tanah Lot Beach
Tanah Lot derives from two Balinese words; tanah and lot. Tanah means isle or a small island while lot or lod means sea. So, Tanah lot means the small island which is floating on the sea. The location is the holy place for Hindu.
The unique animal can be seen in this temple area. They are the sea snakes. The holy snakes are white with black rings variation along the body, and they are tame. The local society believe that the snakes are the deity property. They become the guard of the temple from the bad influence.
Komodo Island
Komodo is one of the island in the eastern part of Indonesia. Administratevely, it is part of East Nusa Tenggara province. The island is also a popular destination for diving and it is more popular after it was included into the controversial New 7 wonder of Nature list since November 2011.
The island is particulary notable as the habitat of the Komodo dragon. It is that largest lizard on the Earth, which is named after the island. The giant lizard also lives in Rinca island which is smaller than Komodo island. Komodo island has a surface area of 390 square km and it has a human population of over two thousand.
The island is famous for the unique fauna which roam in it. The Komodo dragon, the world's largest living lizard, takes its name from the islands, as well as part of westhern Flores. Javanese deer also inhabit the island, though they are not native. The other fauna include water buffalo, banded pigs, civets, cockcatoo and macaquees.
Komodo island conatains a beach with pink sand, one o only seven beaches in the world. The sand appears pink, because it is mixture between white sand and red sand, formed from pieces of Foraninifera.
